The Chameleon collection came out when Marc started experimenting with newly acquired dichroic mirror. This scope has two front-surface mirrors and one dichroic mirror side. The possibilities with this material seem endless. The glass is reflective when little light enters, and absorbent when more light enters the glass. This is absolutely amazing when utilized in a kaleidoscope. The Chameleon Kaleidoscope, by design exploits these traits. As the viewer rotates the entire scope, the dichroic mirror goes through periods of more light and less light. The result is an array of vastly different kaleidoscopic outcomes. The scope has a liquid filled cell at the end which changes the pattern in the mandala as the scope is rotated.
